Gimhae National Museum

 Opened in 1998 to research and preserve the cultural heritage of Gaya kingdom, the museum is located at the foot of Gujibong Peak, where the kingdom is believed to have been founded. Even more, since there aren’t many historical records on Gaya kingdom itself, the museum is used not just by the general public, but also by the professional archeologists looking to learn more about the Gaya kingdom.

Tomb of King Suro

Founder of the Garak Kingdom in A.D. 42, King Suro married a princess from Ayuta, India (Heo Hwang-ok) and was a founder of the Gimhae Kim family. The tomb compound includes various buildings, stone structures and gongjeokbi (monument established to pay homage the deceased).  The tombstone facing the royal tomb was built in the 25thyear of the King Injo reign (1647), giving the place an undeniable air of history.

The fruits are even celebrated by a festival at Jinyeong Public Playgroundevery November since 1985, with a variety of persimmon-related games and activities.
