Cheonwangbon peak Jirisan
Located on the Jirisan mountain, the peak (1,915m) is the 2nd highest in South Korea (after Hallasan Mountain (1,950m)). While due to the clouds you are not able to see the sunrise from the peak, but the cloudy mountain peaks in the distance will make you fall in love with it nonetheless. It is said that “the spirit of Korean people rises from here”, and once you’ll reach the peak, you might realize why they say that.
Donguibogam village
Located on Wansan Mountain, the village grows its herbal plants in clean air and fresh water from nearby natural water sources; thus it comes as no wonder, that the famous Heo Jun came here to develop his medical skills too. In this place, you can not only explore the Herbal museum, various theme parks and Heo Jun Trail, but you can also rent nurses’ or doctors’ uniform from Joseon times, indulge in a herbal hand foam massage, and so much more!
Daewonsa Temple
Located on the Cheonwangbon peak of Jirisan mountain, the temple was originally founded in 548 and as many other temples, it has gone through numerous destructions and restorations throughout its history. As you splash your feet in the coldstream on the road to the temple, it is said that all your worries will wash away with the naturally running water.
