Cheonwangbon peak Jirisan

Located on the Jirisan mountain, the peak (1,915m) is the 2nd highest in South Korea (after Hallasan Mountain (1,950m)). While due to the clouds you are not able to see the sunrise from the peak, but the cloudy mountain peaks in the distance will make you fall in love with it nonetheless. It is said that “the spirit of Korean people rises from here”, and once you’ll reach the peak, you might realize why they say that.

Daewonsa Temple

Located on the Cheonwangbon peak of Jirisan mountain, the temple was originally founded in 548 and as many other temples, it has gone through numerous destructions and restorations throughout its history. As you splash your feet in the coldstream on the road to the temple, it is said that all your worries will wash away with the naturally running water.
